TRICK OR TREAT MEME.

i couldn't choose one SO I MADE TWO.

so i kept telling myself that i would post more here. and .. well, i sort of have! this is my second post in one month's time! that's a record, as of late.
but either way, i kept telling myself i would post, then realizing that i .. really don't have much to post about. i'm not one to really talk about my super personal life on a public journal (frends locked or no), and i'm generally i private person whenit comes to my FEEWINGS and all that. so without going to cons, and getting into new fandoms, i .. REALLY DON'T HAVE MUCH TO SAY.
but i'll try anyway!
the puppies are doing well, expensive as the little motherfuckers are. chippy is a brat and has taken to chewing things, but when we give him bones to chew instead, he generally takes to those instead. the house is great, though money is always scary. but we're getting along. i've also been testing out new art styles since i'd like to try to make some money with that - and i've settled on this art nouveau sort of thing. i've always been really fond of AN art, and really i'm more strongly suited to graphic type of art in general, so i was pleasantly surprised to find that i was kind of good at it. so i'm thinking i'm going to make a whole set of 'em and see what i can do with it.

i know what the big news is. i am now, FINALLY,
i've had my license back for a long time now, but since i didn't have any insurance i wasn't able to drive at all. WELL GUESS WHO IS NOW INSURED. that's right. moi. so watch out for my road rage, guys.
but no really, it's not scary at all, and i'm picking it up again really easily. shit's pretty exciting.
also i've been wanting to replay some games. i'm torn between tales of the abyss/vesperia, and the dot hack chronicles (the first set, naturally). right now i'm leaning towards dot hack. hmm. :|a
but that's about it for me! /goes back to chinese food and world of warcraft now

Feb. 3rd, 2010 01:51 pmOKAY, well .. still no jobs. despite almost daily hunting and applying, almost nothing has turned up. in fact, a good 60% of the places we've tried are actually having hiring freezes atm.

it blows big balls. HOWEVER, we have been making a good amount of money selling things on the internet, so we're thinking that we may be able to swing one night.
so!inuashley, can you calculate how much the cost would be if we stayed just friday night into saturday? if it's doable enough, we might be able to make it for those two days. :) and we'll have to somehow make it along without badges, so here's to hoping that we won't have to show our badges to get in and out of the con center. >>;; i guess we'll just take it one step at a time as far as registration goes.

birthday and maybe bad news.

.. aaand onto the bad news.
moving in is all good and well, but finding jobs? .. not so much. resumes have been put in, tons of applications have been filled out and about a million phone calls have been made. unfortunately, no employers have yet been biting. which means money is very, very tight. and rent and food take precedence to things like conventions.
so, giving you guy a heads up. if we don't have any viable income by february, we will not be able to afford katsucon. I KNOW. ugh. i wish it weren't so, but with money being how it is, and not having jobs, it just can't happen. so this is mostly a heads up to you,inuashley813, since i know you had wanted us to be in charge of the room. none of this is set in stone yet, but you might want to figure out prices/who's going to be in charge of the room if we're not able to be there to do it.
SO, let's just pray that we can get some income so that we don't have to sacrifice this con. so all of you pray and chant and keep your fingers crossed, whatever you have to do to send us good juju! once february rolls around, we'll let you guys know what's going on, and you'll get the final verdict.

well. i actually have some time to myself for once. THIS FEELS SO ODD. i've barely had any time for the internet these past few months, i've been lurking on plurk, but livejournal was almost dead to me, and i used AiM, but i generally abandoned it once i signed on and left the computer to do other things.
now i feel so .. bored, lmao. the majority of september and october i spent back and forth to new jersey, visiting friends and family and helping out a lot with the rehab. we did about a billion programs, but that's good, i had lots of time to spend with the birds. ♥ and i even have my very own glove now, i feel so powerful with my own glove clipped to my belt! (9 òó)9
ty's halloween party was this past weekend too, and of course it was a blast; froggy and i spent a week jetting through new costumes for it -- the party was 'time period' themed, so frog and i did steampunk. :> we looked pretty cool, i'll get pictures to you guys if i can, though i spent so much of the night sloshed i think that i got one picture, if that. oops. well we'll see; with hope i'll have something to show you guys eventually!
aside from that, we're just planning our move, and planning what to do over the holidays. i'm not sure if AUSA is going to work out at all -- it's so close to thanksgiving, and we probably won't have anyone to watch finnegan, we're going to be doing a ton of driving that month as it is .. so it's pretty unlikely, unfortunately, but maybe we'll be able to swing at least one day! as far as what we're doing for halloween itself ..... i have no idea, which sucks. :< we've been juggling a few ideas, hopefully at least one of them will work out. halloweens down here in OC aren't all that interesting, no one lives here this time of year, so we don't even get any trick-or-treaters, sob. oh well.
AAH BUT ANYWAY now that i've got all this time, I'M BORED. so you guys should tag me over here on my
